The cabinet Secretary for Water and Irrigation Honourable Eugene Wamalwa paid a visit to Garissa university in a mission to assess the University's water needs. He was welcomed by the Principal and given tour of the university's water facilities. 

The minister took to look at the water needs problems in the university and promised to release funds for construction of a university borehole to solve the perenial water problems.

Garissa university students went to community outreach in a bid to give back to the society in line with Garissa University social responsibilty to the communities living around it.

It was an outreach meeting where the university staff and students paid a visit to Garissa school for the deaf students where they brought joy to the students and had a wonderful time spending the day with them.

The Vice Chancellor Moi University Professor Mibei Paid a visit to the university to assess the progress made by the university in fulfilling the knowledge and academic needs of the North Eastern.

He commended the tremendous effort made by the university in realizing its goal and encouraged the university management to work extra hard to make Garissa University the place to be
