GUC recently acquired a modern bus with the capacity to carry 62 passengers. The bus has come in handy for students' learning trips mostly in Nairobi and Mombasa as well as games outings across the country.
His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta planted a tree of honour when he made his historic visit of Garissa University College on 21st May 2016. The president was accompanied by other senior Government officials including Deputy President Hon.
