His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta planted a tree of honour when he made his historic visit of Garissa University College on 21st May 2016. The president was accompanied by other senior Government officials including Deputy President Hon. William Ruto and Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Hon Aden Duale, Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery, Ministry of Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Hon. Eugene Wamalwa and Education Principal Secretary Prof. Colleta Suda.
