Mandate

The Principal is the Chief Executive Officer of the institution and oversees all administrative, planning, finance, and academic matters. The other functions include but not limited to the following:

A. Council Secretariat

The Principal is the Secretary to Council. The Secretariat Coordinates and provides secretarial services to Council and its committees and in consultation with the Principal, the secretariat ensures all Council decisions are implemented promptly as recommended by the Council.

B. Security and Safety

The Security and Safety Department is vested with the responsibility of ensuring that the university operations are performed in a safe and secure environment. These include the protection of lives of students, staff and visitors as well as their property. The Principal is the chairperson of the Security and Safety Committee.
